WHAT?! Yes, you did read it right, this is the homepage for the UK Mobile Phone Throwing Championships.

Started in 2004 it's been going strong ever since, and is a fonetastic event! Sorry, couldn't resist.

It's aimed at having a bit of fun chucking old phones as far as you can, simple! And as anyone can enter, not only can you vent your technological frustrations on the poor handset of choice, but you may just walk away a UK Champion too!

The event is organised by sport and adventure club 8th Day UK

(www.8thdayuk.com) and features men's, women's and Under 12 categories. 

There's also a good cause behind it, as we'd like you all to bring your old phones along on the day to give to a phone recycling charity (we'll provide a selection of phones to actually throw, though you may throw your own if you prefer!).
